Maybelline ColorShow Nail Paint - Nude Skin Review

Hi All,

Sorry I was away from my blog the past week. The reason being my "itne saalo ka sathi" , my pyara laptop ditched me and suddenly stopped working. I tried fixing it, but Delhi/ NCR is seriously so expensive dude!

Anyway I have decided I will mend it when I visit my city of Joy, My Kolkata. Till then I am like "Kaam Chalao" with my office lappy. :D

Today I am going to review my current favorite nail paint range from Maybelline - ColorShow in the shade Nude Skin.

I am kinda going all nude makeup products these days. God knows what happened to me.

Anyway, I remember when I was a kid & when I was not much into makeup & its alleys I used to go ga-ga when somebody used to apply "Jhatak" nail paints. I used to adore all those which were "Jhatak". And I used to literally hate these colors, discarding them as "aged-woman color". :P

But now I can well understand what a warm color it is..it is nude..it is classy...and it is posh...

The Maybelline ColorShow Nude Skin is one such color which has just blown me over...both by its payoff and ofcourse who does not know about the incredible low price - INR 75 only :D

It is nice milky brown color- in which milk is mixed maximum :P. Two coat is enough for me to get my nails covered. I have noticed ColorShow nail paints have different chip offs timing. One chips off within 3 days and one takes days for the same. This one like stays on me for a good 6 days at a stretch and then slowly it starts fading.

Maybelline ColorShow Nude Skin

It is glossy and a top coat would make it more glossier and glamorous.

I have also reviewed some nail paints from the range in the past- Shocking seas (READ HERE) , Chrome Pink & Kiss me Pink (READ HERE)

I usually wear this shade to my work, during meetings and yes when I am heavy on my face makeup something needs to be subtle - so this one.

Priyanka Chopra - In Designer ethnic collections

Hi Girls!

Last week suddenly I saw some great ethnic sarees and lehengas online which were inspired by some of the ethnic stuffs worn by the celebs.

After 1000s of clicks and surfing I found out some great sarees and lehengas worn by our own Miss World Priyanka Chopra.

The dresses worn by her was stylish, chic, classy and yet traditional. I thought to jot down those and share it with you all. Would really like to know how do you feel about the dresses.

Priyanka in Manish Malhotra

I quite like the color combination of the lehenga and the long sleeve blouse. The fringes on her forehead is looking super chic and classy yet traditional

Oh I so love this white color. And the dash of blue blouse is adding the look to it.

This one is nice too. But it is not a clear cut winner for me. It is just so so. But yes I quite like the orange color zari border.

This one is also a pass for me. Although I cannot afford the dress  :P

Super Classy Lehenga. The color combination of blue with orange is just out of this world. But the cleavage popping out of the blouse is not something that I am looking for.

I kinda like this kind of orangish coral dresses. The golden beige dupatta is adding a right amount of subtlety here.

This Saree I think is being copied by so many local saree weavers after PC wore this in an award ceremony.
Saree and blouse both are super chic.

Priyanka in Ritu Kumar

After seeing this black one, I have been yearning to wear black sarees so much. I have seen many Ritu Kumar collection , but nothing seemed to grab my attention. But this one is a sureeeee shot blockbuster winner. What a blouse! What a blouse!

Priyanka in Neeta Lulla

I mean how can Ms Lulla design something? I mean how could she do such things to girls like us? She left us yearning for this lehenga. The day I have seen this, the white princess lehenga with the beige color blouse with white thread works comes to my dream everyday. As if something is saying "when you are getting me home babe".

Which one do you like? Do keep me posted...

FACES Canada Beyond Black Eyeliner - Review

Hi Girls!

I have a great eyeliner in my kitty today to review.

But before I start off with the review I would like to mention, that officially I work as a brand custodian for FACES Canada. Yes! I would explain it further. I am a branding executive in an advertising agency & I look after FACES Canada. But that does not mean that this review is being promoted by FACES by any means. I am a blogger and it is my duty to weigh each brand in the same manner.

The product I am going to review is FACES Canada Beyond Black Eyeliner.

This was one such sample provided to my team for personal use. Thus is the review.Yes. You see we get a lotta product to use for free when we work for a brand. Isn't it cool?

Price

Technically I got it for free :D . I think currently it is around INR 300-500. Can't remember  :P

My Experience

The name says it all. It is indeed a blacky black eyeliner with a felt tip brush for application. I find it very easy to draw my eyes with it. It helps me in giving a precise line on my lids.

It is waterproof, smudgeproof & dries off very quickly post application.

But here is the main problem. You try hard to remove it at the end of the day , but it is soooo hard to remove. I have tried doing it with makeup removers, baby oil but nothing came to rescue. I had to rub off coarsely with the baby oil to remove it. Thus it stays for as long as 24 hours on your lids. Phewww!!

Over all it is a good eyeliner. But yes I  think the price is a little on the higher side.

Swatch

Removed with baby Oil

You can see how hard it is to remove :(

Hi Fivez

1. Water proof
2. Smudge Proof
3. Stays on for as long as 24 hours
4. Great felt tip for application
5. Dries off Quickly
6. Extreme Black Color

Low Fivez

1. Hard to remove
2. Pricey

Rating

3.5 Out Of 5

Re Purchase

I have used it extensively. I would like to try other brands too.

Have you tried Beyond Black Eyeliner? Let me know
