Maybelline ColorShow Nail Paint - Nude Skin Review

Hi All,

Sorry I was away from my blog the past week. The reason being my "itne saalo ka sathi" , my pyara laptop ditched me and suddenly stopped working. I tried fixing it, but Delhi/ NCR is seriously so expensive dude!

Anyway I have decided I will mend it when I visit my city of Joy, My Kolkata. Till then I am like "Kaam Chalao" with my office lappy. :D

Today I am going to review my current favorite nail paint range from Maybelline - ColorShow in the shade Nude Skin.

I am kinda going all nude makeup products these days. God knows what happened to me.

Anyway, I remember when I was a kid & when I was not much into makeup & its alleys I used to go ga-ga when somebody used to apply "Jhatak" nail paints. I used to adore all those which were "Jhatak". And I used to literally hate these colors, discarding them as "aged-woman color". :P

But now I can well understand what a warm color it is..it is nude..it is classy...and it is posh...

The Maybelline ColorShow Nude Skin is one such color which has just blown me over...both by its payoff and ofcourse who does not know about the incredible low price - INR 75 only :D

It is nice milky brown color- in which milk is mixed maximum :P. Two coat is enough for me to get my nails covered. I have noticed ColorShow nail paints have different chip offs timing. One chips off within 3 days and one takes days for the same. This one like stays on me for a good 6 days at a stretch and then slowly it starts fading.

Maybelline ColorShow Nude Skin

It is glossy and a top coat would make it more glossier and glamorous.

I have also reviewed some nail paints from the range in the past- Shocking seas (READ HERE) , Chrome Pink & Kiss me Pink (READ HERE)

I usually wear this shade to my work, during meetings and yes when I am heavy on my face makeup something needs to be subtle - so this one.

Colorbar Velvette Matte Lipstick Review - Bronx

Hi everyone,

I am a big fan of nude lipsticks along with all the red lipsticks.

Today I am going to review a nude lipstick from the Colorbar family - Colorbar Velvette Matte in Bronx shade.

I was hunting for a great nude shade which I can wear it to work everyday and which is a little hydrating on my lips. Some of the matte lipsticks that I use are not moisturizing. The matte tend to be a little on the dry side. But after testing the swatch in the store and hearing the range name "Velvette", I thought of taking it. The shade color was what I was looking for and although being matte, the name velvette gave a satisfaction that it would give some hydration for my lips.

Product Description

For a rich lip color with a creamy shine, the velvette matte lipstick available in stunning shades infuses the lips with vibrancy. it 2-in-1 formulation gives the lips creamy, yet matte look. Its softening agent gives the lips soft and supple while keep them nourished with vitamin E

Price

I got it for INR 275

My Experience

Yes, the claims are true. Being a matte finish lipstick it does gives a creamy finish on lips. It glides on my lips smoothly and there is a bit of a shine on my lips throughout. Once the lipstick settles down on the lips, it gives a unique combination of creamy yet matte look. Do not know about the Vitamin E part though but it does not dry up my lips at all not even in winters.

The packaging is simple. It comes in a transparent plastic body. Simple, sober and see through. One can see the shade from outside.

Coming to the shade - Bronx that I had picked up and had been using since many days, it is a lovely sheer brown color lipstick with yellow undertone. The bullet of the lipstick looks much deeper in color than the actual payoff on the lips. Two swipe is enough to get that desired nude lips.I wear to work almost everyday and it is not at all overpowering and my face retains the neutral look through out the day.One can create a nice smoky eye and can apply this lipstick.

I think it is such a color which can will look good on any skin tone and skin color. It will not wash out anybody's face at all.The staying power of the lipstick is around 4-5 hours with little meals in between.
However I am a fan of those lipsticks which leaves a stain behind. But this one does not.I have to keep re-applying it after a heavy meal or any drink.

The lipstick glides smoothly and is creamy on the lips. The texture is good enough for something at this price range. But I have observed one thing, that in winters the bullet of the lipstick turns a little dry and hard. But the payoff remains the same- soft &creamy. That is indeed great.

Deborah Milano 24ORE Perfect Foundation - 03 Caramel Beige

Hi all the lovely ladies !

It's been a while I was looking for a daily wear foundation which I can wear it for my work and ofcourse which is less expensive. I was honestly looking for the Maybelline foundation as it is comparatively cheap. But damn the store, the tester was available but not the sealed product huh!

Anyway after doing some "idhar udhar" around the store I went to the Deborah counter, though I had searched for the same foundation online , but it was expensive in compare to the purpose of my getting a foundation.

But to my surprise the store was on SALE and I got a huge discount.

So lured by the discounted price I got the Deborah Milano 24 ORE Perfect Foundation in the shade 03 Caramel Beige.

Product Description

Foundation with a silky texture for a sheer, velvetty smooth finish. Formulated with power stay compex for amazingly long wear without touch-ups. Beat shine without creating a masky effect. Suitable for all skin types. SPF 10. Hypoallergenic.

Price

It was INR 1020 but I got it for INR 800

Packaging

It comes in a transparent glass bottle with a transparent cap and beneath that there is black pump cap with nozzle. From there exact amount of foundation comes out. So no wastage.

My Experience.

Every bit of the claims of the product is true. Since I use it for office and have to attend meetings through out and some times long nights in the office, the foundation does not fades. It stays intact God knows for how many long hours.

It gives a medium coverage and does not makes a cast on my face so much so that none of my colleague can spot that I am wearing a foundation. It looks like my natural skin with a glow and without any spots on my face. It is absolutely shine free. But yes I use a compact to settle the foundation and increase the longetivity of the shine free property.

A little bit of the product goes a long way. I just take a pea size amount on my palm and it covers my whole face. In my swatch I have taken too much of the amount. Trust me it is like a moisturizer and needs only a pea size. I am amazed.

It goes on and on for long hours. blending is super easy and it just gets absorbed in my skin and feel so natural. It is a true match to my skin. and I am sure the lesser the amount it takes , the product will go a long way and I will not feel that my pocket has been taxed. :D
