The Nature's Co Lavender Body Lotion - Review

Hi All,

Last year I had subscribed to the velvette bag, which was somewhat disappointing. After paying a good amount for a 3-month subscription I did not get products worth that amount.

However, few things that came in the bag was definitely worth giving those a try. Among those was a sample size 35ml bottle of The Nature's Co. Lavender Body Lotion.

Product Description

Indulge in a soft, smooth, sensuous encounter with our lavender body lotion. Dry, sensitive & mature skin will greatly benefit from Lavender's anti-microbial, anti -inflammatory & skin regenerative properties. Apply it liberally and evenly both in the morning and night. It is especially effective when applied after bathing on moist skin.

Price

It came with my velvette box so relatively I did not know the price of the 35ml, but it costs around INR 545 for a full size bottle.

Packaging

It comes in a white rectangular cylinder container with a rectangular screw cap.

My Experience

The product inside has good consistency and it is not very runny as a liquid. The only problem I have with the product is , its smell. I have never smelt Lavender, if it the smell of the lavender, then I am sorry to say I do not like it. It is very pungent for my nose.

The lotion is water based, so it can be a boon for oily skin girls. It gets absorbed very very quickly onto the skin. After it gets absorbed I feel a bit of dryness on my skin. May be I am habituated with the oil based lotions available in the market.

The product says it stays for hours and provides moisturisation to the body. But I have used it to keep my hands and palm away from dryness and it has disappointed me.

I am sure the product is good but my body is relatively dry and I should be using products with more butters into it not water.

Swatch

Hi Fivez

1. All herbal
2. Travel friendly packaging
3. Good for combination skin people, may be oily too.
4. Gets absorbed easily
5. water based

Low Fivez

1. I do not like the smell
2. Not great for my dry skin in winters
3. Pricey, a bit
4. A lot of product is needed for application. So the amount you pay is more and you have to refill your stock within few days

The Body Shop Haul - The Tea Tree Range

Sale Sale Sale!

Why this month happens to be a SALE month all over.. Why Why Why?
I am not being dramatic. I just can not stop shopping and my savings are just going to the guns..huh

I just can not resist myself to avail the Sale discounts...Dil hai ki maanta nahi  :(

Today I just plunged into The Body Shop sale and swam to the bank with the complete range of the Tea Tree product family.

The devil behind the purchase was the Rs 500 voucher that the PP had given me on my birthday. I had to redeem it , and it was supposed to be the best time for it.

I got hold of the Tea Tree Squeaky Clean Scrub, Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser, Tea Tree Blemish fade Night lotion and the Soap Chocolate which comes in a cute little heart shape (there is a story behind it)

Not that I have blemishes on my skin, but Tea Tree is supposed to be a great cleaning agent and it helps in dismissing all the black marks or spots , blemishes from skin. Thus the haul.

Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser

The actual price is INR 795, I got it for INR 675

Tea Tree Squeaky Clean Scrub

The actual price is INR 795, I got it for 675

Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion

The price is 895, I got it for 760

Soap Chocolate

The Price was INR 175

This one I actually got it for free. The Store manager billed me for two lotions instead of the scrubber. When I asked him to re bill , he told its against the policy. I Said "Dude I am not exchanging products. It was your mistake. I am not going to pay more. " So he adjusted everything in the bill and this came for free.

I have decided. This is surely going to my mom. She will love the heart  <3

And on top of the discounts I got to redeem my INR 500 gift voucher. So I just shelled out around INR 1600 for the complete range and a free product (I mean that is a huge steal)

All thanks to the PP who's intelligence I have to admire for giving me the voucher :D

Will review all the products soon....

Let me Know how did you like the haul...what did you shop in this SALE season?

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Body Moisturizer - Dry Skin

Hi Roses!

The winter has set in!! It is slowly and steadily engulfing Delhi/ NCR. And "beheno" that day is near when we are going to experience that dreadful, that spine chilling  "Dilli ki Sardi" :P . But honestly I just love winters.

So when there is winter, then there has to have a situation when we girls need to take special care of our skin, of our body. It is that time of the year when all the cracked heels, dry skin, cracked skin, flaky skin re-surfaces. Huh!

Before the crisis had set in, I suddenly chanced upon a miracle moisturizer in one of the Dabur New U store. Although I went to the store to check out some lippies, but I came back with this, also my old moisturizer was over. It was a Neutrogena Body Moisturizer..

Well frankly speaking I had never used any Neutrogena products, as I was not confident about the type of chemicals they use in their products. But this product did not disappoint me and now I am certainly going to check out more from the brand. Although the BA kept pushing for the products (I do not like pushy SA/BA. They irritate me), I was quite reluctant at first. I asked her it is for dry skin, and I have combination skin. Then I realized, winter makes our skin dry, lets try out.

Product Description

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Body Moisturizer hydrates skin with exceptional moisture levels that lasts all day. The non-greasy, glycerin-rich formula deeply penetrates, instantly turning even the driest, roughest skin into soft, smooth skin.

  • Instantly soothes skin
  • Relieves, dry rough skin
  • Provides 24 Hr of moisturization

Price

Although the price of the product is Rs 399, I got it at Rs 35 discount. Yayyy!

Ingredients

This product contains no harmful chemicals that I am sure.

My Take on the product

It claims to have Norwegian formula, which helps retaining moisture in the skin. Norway is a cold country and people there use some kind of therapy and things to keep themselves moisturize. This product claims to have incorporated that formula in the product. And yes the product did not disappoint me. I am not quite sure about how this product would work in s
ummers for girls who has my skin type, but in winters it is a boon.

It keeps my skin really soft for so long. Before I head to office I apply it and it keeps my skin supple throughout the day and still after I come back home. Even at night when I re-apply it, it makes my skin like silk. Trust me it does.

It has a lovely floral smell which is very mild and which goes off once you start applying. It is not at all greasy and a little amount of the product covers lots of body portion.

Pros

  • Does what it claims
  • keeps my skin soft silky
  • does not allow my skin to show up with cracks and flakes
  • pretty decent price compared to the wonders it does
  • No harmful chemicals as such
  • No pungent smell
Cons

  • Nothing I could think of
